April 21st, 2013- It was another busy weekend for Jared Landers as he set out to enter a trio of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events. Before the team could take to the track for the first time Mother Nature intervened with a rain out at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pennsylvania).
As a result the weekend officially opened on Saturday night with a $10,000-to-win program at the historic Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Maryland). With thirty-four Super Late Models registered for action Landers would struggle in preliminary action and was forced to utilize a series' provisional to start the main event in the twenty-third position. He would only be able to manage to advance to a twentieth place finish in the finale.
On Sunday evening the team hoped for better luck as they traveled to West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, West Virginia) for another $10,000-to-win program. The night started much better for the team as Landers recorded a third place finish in his heat race, which locked him into the twelfth starting spot for the 50 lap finale at the 4/10 mile oval. He would go on to race his way to an eighth place finish.
Jared is now eighth in the latest LOLMDS standings. Full results from the event and the latest series' standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.
April 13th, 2013 - Jared Landers and Clint Bowyer Motorsports invaded Kentucky and Missouri over the weekend as they took part in a pair of $20,000-to-win, National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Super Late Model events.
The weekend began on Friday night at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Kentucky), where a talent-laden field of fifty-five Super Late Models filled the pit area for the big event. Rain from the night before left the track heavy and rough, but in time trials Landers was unphased as he earned a front row starting spot for his heat race. He went on to win the heat to lock into the redraw for the feature, where he was the recipient of the pole starting spot alongside Josh Richards. As the race went green Landers jumped to the lead and paced the opening circuits before Richards took control of the lead on lap 3. For the next several laps Landers ran in the second spot, but unfortunately his night would soon come to an end with overheating issues as he was forced to retire to a twenty-first place finish.
Saturday evening found the team competing at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) in another $20,000-to-win event. After missing the transfer from heat race action Landers won his b-main to lock into the nineteenth starting spot for the 75 lap finale. Unfortunately for the second night in a row Jared found his feature outing coming to an early end early in the event with mechanical issues. He was credited once again with a twenty-first place finish.

April 6th, 2013 - Jared Landers saw his weekend of racing action reduced to a single event as Mother Nature nixed Friday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi).
On Saturday evening the action shifted west to Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for a $10,000-to-win, LOLMDS event. Thirty-nine Super Late Models converged on the 3/8 mile, which was left heavy and rough by rain throughout the week. A second place finish in his heat locked Landers into the sixth starting spot for the main event. The attrition-plagued feature saw Jared race his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Jimmy Owens, Scott Bloomquist, Steve Francis, and Don O'Neal.
Jared is now tied for fifth with his teammate, Steve Francis, in the LOLMDS standings. Full results from the event and the latest series' standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.
