1August 24th, 2013 - The extremely busy slate for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competitors took them into Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) on Thursday evening for the 10th Annual Scorcher at the 4/10 mile oval.

Thirty-three racers looked to the "The Gap," and a 2nd place run in his heat race locked Landers into the 5th starting spot for the feature. The team had high hopes for their luck to change, but mechanical issues again plagued Landers in the feature as he faded to a 16th place finish in the final rundown.

Landers concluded his weekend with a top five finish on Saturday night as he traveled to Lawrenceburg Speedway (Lawrenceburg, Indiana) for the Whiskey 50, which posted a $10,000 winner's check at the state-of-the-art facility. Twenty-eight entries took to the oval, and Landers started his night by winning his heat race to lock into the 3rd starting spot for the finale. In the main event he raced in the top five throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the 4th position behind race winner, Steve Francis, Brad Neat, and Jimmy Owens.

1August 18th, 2013 - Jared was back in action at his home track over the weekend as he participated in the 21st Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 presented by Crop Production Services at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas).

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned event attracted a field of 55 entries to the 3/8 mile on Friday evening, and after qualifying 14th fastest in his group Landers started 4th in his heat race. Unfortunately he would battle handling issues as he faded to a 6th place finish.

As a result he was relegated to a b-main, which was held on Sunday afternoon after Saturday night's program fell victim to rain. In the b-main Landers raced to a 2nd place finish to earn the 24th starting spot for the 100 lap, $40,000-to-win finale. Unfortunately a mechanical failure early in the feature brought his weekend to an early end in the 24th position.

Jared is currently 8th in the latest series' standings. Full results from the events as well as the latest series' standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com

August 10th, 2013 - After a much-needed week break from racing Jared Landers resumed action with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend with the 31st 1Annual North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky).

A strong field of 67 entries took to the 1/2 mile oval on Friday night for qualifications, and via his qualifying effort Landers locked into the 5th starting spot for his heat race on Saturday evening. He would advance to a 4th place finish in the heat race, but with only the top three finishers moving on to the feature he was forced to run a b-main. He raced to the win in his b-main to earn the 20th starting spot for the feature. Despite slowing late in the race with tire issues to draw a caution Landers would rejoin the tail of the field and rebound to a 9th place finish.
