March 21st, 2015 - It was back to business for Jared Landers and the Double L Motorsports team on Friday night as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) invaded Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio).
Forty Super Late Models registered for battle, and a third place in heat race action would position Jared starting tenth in the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win finale. Landers raced around the top ten for much of the event until mechanical issues on his #777 Crop Production Services/Sweet-Bloomquist entry on the final lap caused him to slip backwards to a fifteenth place finish in the final rundown.
The 18th Annual Indiana Icebreaker was contested at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night. Forty entries converged on the historic, 1/4-mile oval, and struggles in heat race action forced Jared to run a b-main. He failed to reach a transfer position in his-main, forcing him to utilize a series provisional to lock into the 23rd starting position on the feature grid. During the course of the $10,000-to-win main event, passing would prove to be difficult as Landers only managed a 20th place finish.
Jared is currently seventh in the latest series' standings. Full results from the events as well as the latest series' standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.
