August 26th, 2016 - Jared Landers continues to be on the mend as he recovers from injuries sustained earlier this year at Tri City Speedway (Pontoon Beach, Illinois). During his recover time, he will be out of action for a few weeks. Jared hopes to return to action on September 15-17 at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) during the annual Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals. Landers would like to thank everyone, who has shown support and well wishes for him, and he eagerly anticipates returning to the driver's seat of his familiar #777 Crop Production Services Super Late Model as soon as possible.

August 13th, 2016 - Traveling to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Thursday for the rescheduled Ralph Latham Memorial, Jared Landers was one of 65 Super Late Models signed in for the opening night of three-day event. After timing in 4th fastest in his group, Landers cruised to heat race win giving him the pole position for the $30,000-to-win A-Main. Losing the lead on the lap 5, Jared held on to place 5th in the 100-lapper finishing behind Scott Bloomquist, Don O’Neal, Dennis Erb Jr., and Bobby Pierce.

The following night competing in two rounds of heat action, Jared followed up a heat race victory with a 5th place finish in his second heat. Earning the 9th-starting position for the $50,000-to-win Sunoco North/South 100 on Saturday night, Landers was battling in the Top 5 until getting together with another competitor during a restart on lap 32. Coming from the tail of the field, Jared Landers worked his way up to a 12th place finish in the 100-lap affair.

Jared remains in third in the LOLMDS point standings. Full results from these events are available at www.LucasDirt.com.
